In ‘Seated Woman’ 2018, Max Hembrow pays homage to the portraits of Pablo Picasso. His use of line and composition create a sense of flow that make up the seated figure with a portrait in profile. He uses his contemporary cubist method of enhancing compositions through the use of vibrant colours and pastel on the surface of the canvas.
